How many of us in North American society have items that that we should really delete out of our lives? It can take up space costing us money, leaving no room for other items we need, or simply drains our energy.
A good example in my case was boxes for everything from computers to toasters. I'd save them just in case I needed to return the item for some reason. When I finally clued in that I needed to delete the older boxes, it took an entire truck full of them to get them to the recycling centre. Most were for items that I no longer even owned as they had broken down. Getting rid of something as minor as this cleared a lot of space in my home and made me feel like I had changed the energy.
The same can be said for people in our lives. Sometimes you just have to delete them if they are "energy vampires" always complaining about how bad things are and how horrible life is. They are usually the hardest to deal with as there is usually a long history with them. It's also very hard to cut somebody out of your life if you have known them for years or are related to them. Usually the best we can manage is a reduction in time we spend with them and a greater awareness of what is happening.
It's definately worth thinking about what you can get rid of. Start small and work up to major items if you find it difficult to do. Start now. Look around the room you are in, find something that you have not used in a year, and throw it out.
