Inspiration Leads to Motivation

On my previous blog post, "Find your Inner Guru" I told you my Guru quote "Inspiration leads to motivation; it is your spirits desire to grow and evolve".

I believe that we all want to change but wanting to change is like standing at a wishing well hoping that someone will do all the work for us. Inspiration on the other hand will lead you to find the willingness to change. What's the difference? Willingness is a force that opens up all possibilities. When you are willing to do whatever it takes, you will never be denied.

I experienced this force when I chose to run my first marathon. I've always wanted to run a full marathon but never had the motivation to actually do it. So what changed? I was inspired by friends of mine that we're 50 and 46 years old. They told me that they were training for the Vancouver Marathon and asked if I wanted to join them. I couldn't believe that they were actually doing it which lead to me thinking that if they could do it so could I right, I mean, I was only 32 years old at the time. But there were a lot of limiting beliefs that I needed to breakthrough in order to follow through with this huge commitment.

I was willing to do whatever it took and I finished my first marathon...more to come next week!
